Sisterhooda. 👯‍♀️ 💃🏻 V znamenju drage @anjanovak_anjuta, ki sem jo spoznala kot pupiko pred skoraj 20 leti, zdaj pa njen unikatni performativni izraz globoko iz njene duše igra v višave, na tiste strune, ki bi lahko spremenile človeka in svet. 💃🏻 S pečatom selektorice @zala_dobovsek, ki v uvodnem govoru pretežno nagovori ženske “Vedno si bila premalo. In če nisi bila premalo – si bila preveč. Ustrezno, primerno ali »ravno prav« ni nikoli obstajalo. […] Koliko zgodb imamo kot ženske na tem svetu še za povedati? To so zgodbe mojega telesa IN tvojega telesa. In prej, ko si to medsebojno priznava, prej bo svet malo manj bolel.” 💃🏻 V družbi moje njujorčanke @natasababicnyc, s katero uspešno furava “biti tujka v domači deželi”. Ob stisku @tatjanajedoma, odlične dramaturginje in avtorice priredbe @madam.judit, ki se je z nespremenljivim vprašanjem pozicije ženske v družbi dotaknila številnih žensk od ZDA do Južne Koreje. 💃🏻 In kot je presunljivo povedala naša draga Marijana Brecelj - “Gledališče se ne bojuje ne s puškami ne z bajoneti ne z medcelinskimi raketami in droni – bojuje se z besedo, ki se je ne da ne sestreliti ne razstreliti! Jaz nisem govorec ali pisatelj ali politik – sem samo igralka, ki zapušča ta oder, ki sem mu dala vse in še več, pa tudi dobila vse in še več od njega. In za slovo naj zaželim: vztrajaj v svojem poslanstvu gledališče, ljubezen moja.” 🎭 Vesel Teden, drago moje @presernovo ♥️🌟🎭
This month, I took a couple of days completely off This month, I took a couple of days completely off. I never do. Because freelancing doesn’t really come with an “off” switch. Even though it might look like I never do anything. There’s always a tab open in my mind. A low-level hum of “what’s next?” running in the background. Another idea to chase. Another networking opportunity. Another project that might turn into something if I just stay available. Being “half on, half off” all the time just might be way more draining than actually being fully on and fully off. So I took a couple of days of truly disconnecting—no checking, no planning, no low-key worrying. If that didn’t reset something, nature and Qi-Gong twice daily definitely did. I’m starting to think that we should change the mindset of “I can’t afford to take time off.” That it’s not a luxury for freelancers—it’s part of the job. One that we must do. The part where we step back far enough to come back with clarity instead of just momentum.

Such uncivil behavior—candidates (all male, ofc) talking over one another, interrupting, muttering disrespectful remarks, and mostly acting like children in a sandbox rather than leaders. The space has been filled with attacks, threats, anti-democratic narratives, and the rapid spread of misinformation across digital platforms. 🗳️ What saddens me most is how far apart we’ve grown. It feels like we’ve lost the ability to truly listen to one another. The divide between “left” and “right” has become so wide that reasonable conversation seems impossible. Many of us are living in entirely different realities, shaped by the platforms we follow and the information we consume. And in this increasingly polarized world, the radical nature of what’s happening around the world is leaving us with no choice but to take sides. 🗳️ I’ve watched this go down twice before, in the USA. I’ll never forget the shocking first time (@madi.laverty531 ♥️). It’s difficult to watch the same kind of behavior spreading globally—to see empathy fading, human values being overshadowed, and intolerance becoming louder and more visible. 🗳️ It makes me wonder what it is in human nature that pulls us toward conflict and division. History shows us that societies fractured like this before the falls of every civilization. Still, I hold onto hope. I believe younger generations can find new ways forward, beyond the limits of outdated systems. 🗳️ And in the end, I find some comfort in something bigger—that nature has a way of restoring balance, that the universe will continue on in its quiet, mysterious rhythm. Even when we lose our way, something greater endures. ♥️
Today, it’s my mommy’s birthday. So kind of my bir Today, it’s my mommy’s birthday. So kind of my birthday. The sun is shining. And I’m off to Ghent to get her something pretty. I’ve got Matcha Latte from Sbucks in front of my platform entrance. (Yes, I know… I’ll work on that. But not today.) Today, I’m celebrating life. My mom and all the other amazing women in my life - and the men who stand beside them. I’m grateful that I get to live quite an extraordinary life, meet incredible people, connect with fellow pilgrims worldwide and talk about important matters we are striving for, together. If you look, there is so much beauty and love to be found. Still and always. Happy my-mom’s-birthday day ♥️🥰🍀☀️

Spet me je zabolela krivičnost družbe, v kateri živimo. 💧 Želim si, da bi več ljudi gledalo dokumentarne filme.
Da bi se znali postaviti v kožo drugih.
Da bi več razmišljali o sistemu, v katerem živimo – in o svoji vlogi v njem. 💧 Da bi večkrat pogledali neznanca v oči in se mu nasmehnili. Ker ko se bomo nekoč spotaknili in padli poleg tega istega človeka, bomo verjetno brez pomisleka zavpili: »Na pomoč.« 💧 Želim si manj homofobije, manj strahu pred drugačnostjo. Več skrbi za sočloveka. 💧 Morda si želim družbe, ki počasi izginja in postaja vse bolj razklana.
Kljub temu verjamem, da mostove še vedno najbolje gradimo z umetniškim izražanjem in deljenjem zgodb. 💧 Hvala vsem soustvarjalcem, ki iščete načine, kako odsevati svet in premoščati razlike.
Vsaka duša, ki se je dotaknemo, je dragocena. 💧 PS: Pojdite volit!

Because at our core, we carry the greatest kind of power. ✨ I’m inspired by @martakos_eu and the founders and members of @onave.strokovnjakinje for opening the conversation and reminding us that we are absolutely entitled to a seat at the table. Inspired by @nikakolac and @institut8.marec, who bravely stand up to the male-driven political power and call out injustice without fear of consequences. By @petrapet, who chose the leap of faith over security to be present for her child and carve her own path. And by so many other women it would be impossible to name them all. I’m inspired by female strength. By resilience. By resourcefulness. By the majestic power of empathy and understanding. So yes — we toasted with fancy cocktails and champagne. Because we deserve it. 🥂

The past few days were filled with beautiful moments of Slovenian culture, connection, and cross-border friendship. Feeling grateful for the incredible people in my life and for having a home on both sides of the Atlantic. 🥰
